Italian Sausage Soup

Ingredients
- --Sausage Meatballs--:
- italian sausage, mild: 1 lb
- bread crumbs: 1/2 cup
- parmesan cheese, grated: 1 cup
- milk: 1/4 cup
- egg: 1
- basil: 1/2 tsp
- pepper: 1/2 tsp
- garlic salt: 1/4 tsp
- --Soup--:
- chicken broth, hot: 4 cups
- tomato paste: 1 Tbs
- garlic, minced: 1 clove
- red pepper flakes: 1 tsp
- shells, mini or other tiny pasta: 1/2 cup
- spinach leaves 10 oz: 1 bag
- parmesan cheese:
Directions
Combine all meatball ingredients, form into marble size balls.
Combine broth, tomato paste, garlic, red pepper flakes in crock pot. Add meat balls. Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours.
30 minutes before serving add pasta. When pasta is tender stir in spinach leaves. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese in serving bowls.
